E.T. Phone home. Along with all the useless things and entertainment that the internet has brought into our lives we now have something worth trying. Project Gizmo (an alternative to Skype) has come on the scene and is offering an open source and free (no spyware I might add) VOIP client. For my family it works out really great when we communicate with our relatives both on the midwest and east coast and our family in Peru. Give it a try - beyond saving money, its just good tech.
